Dr. Amanda Okundaye, Anesthesiologist
After graduating from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry, Dr. Amanda Okundaye attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center as well as a Hospital Dentistry program at the University of California Los Angeles. She realized that she had a love for anesthesia and decided to continue her education in a dental anesthesiology residency at the prestigious University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Okundaye has a full time private practice solely dedicated to anesthesia for dentistry in Nevada and California. She has faculty appointments at the University of California Los Angeles department of Hospital Dentistry and Ostrow School of Dentistry University of Southern California. She teaches IV sedation courses at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Oregon Health Science University. Dr. Okundaye gives lectures to local dentist interested in sedation as well as other topics such as Medical Emergencies in the Dental office. Dr. Okundaye is an active member of American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Okundaye’s recent publications include an article in The Pulse [Why Capnography? Okundaye, AJ, Reed, KL, Fonner, AM. The Pulse 2013. Amanda and her prosthodontist husband Tab have two beautiful children, Caleb and Joelle that they absolutely adore and spend as much time with as possible.
Jules – Hygienist
Julie Lecker is registered dental hygienist working in the dental field since 2005, graduated from Weber State University, a Utah girl at heart but is loving making Las Vegas her home. Jules loves spending time outdoors and in the gym with her hubby and precious girls. She is passionate about oral systematic health, she is committed staying up with new research, protocols, and treatment to provide the best quality care for you as her patient. Jules believes in kindness and forgiveness, meeting everyone with an open heart and mind and asks that you do the same for her, since she is naturally shy and has flawed delivery when it comes to telling jokes. Also, don’t forget: It’s her job to tell you to floss.
Brooke – Hygienist
Brooke was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. She graduated from Utah Valley University in 2016 with her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene. She moved to Las Vegas shortly after with her husband, Matt. Brooke has wanted to be a hygienist since she was 14 years old and loves what she does. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and playing with her yellow lab.
Desiree – Patient Coordinator
Desiree was born and raised here in Las Vegas, NV. She’s always had a passion for the dental field. She loves the impact and difference dentistry makes in people’s lives. Working in the dental field feels like being a superhero. Going to the dentist changed her life growing up and she just wanted to be part of that for others. I believe the best compliment you can give someone is about their smile! At home, her & her husband enjoy the company of two pugs.
Susan – Treatment/Insurance Coordinator, Office Manager
Susan recently relocated to Las Vegas from Hawaii. She began her current career in customer service 14 years ago, where she ventured out into the dental field. She is enthusiastic to have joined Dr. Goh and his team and is motivated to continue her growth at Smiles by Goh. In her spare time, she enjoys going hiking, going to the movies, traveling, and spending time with her loving sons.
