How often should I get a checkup?
At least every 6 months if not more often if you have periodontal disease.

Is my smile going to look natural?
Absolutely. We use a lab that does a great job with artistic work. We don’t like Chicklets: perfectly square, abnormally white teeth with sharp edges. You will get a chance to try on your permanent smile before your crowns are cemented in. Dr. Goh uses temporary caps to give patients some idea what the permanent teeth will look like, and as a tool to communicate what he wants the lab to create.

How young are you, and what kind of experience have you had?
Dr. Goh may look like a young adult, but despite his youthful appearance he’s been in practice for over nine years and has extensive training. He was one of the youngest full mouth reconstruction graduates at LVI and the youngest in his graduating class in dental school at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry.

How long is the work going to take?
It depends. Simple procedures can be done in a couple of appointments. A full mouth reconstruction with neuromuscular bite realignment can take several appointments over a span of four months to a year.

What do you do for pain relief?
We make patients as comfortable as possible with hot towels, blankets, special neck pillows and Dr. Goh recommends nervous patients take anxiety-reducing medication before they arrive, especially for long appointments. We also use nitrous oxide, per patient’s request.
